Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the use of buddyonscreen.shop and to contracts concluded through this online store.

The seller is:

Toysshot, trading as Buddy On Screen
Owner: Maxim Alexander Klippenstein
Beckendorfstraße 55
33739 Bielefeld
Germany
Email: infobuddyonscreen@gmail.com

By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.

2. Definitions

A consumer is a natural person purchasing mainly for purposes outside their commercial, business, trade or professional activity.

A business customer is a person or organization purchasing in connection with commercial, business, trade or professional activity.

3. Products

The essential characteristics of each product are described on the applicable product page.

Product images are intended to represent the product as accurately as possible. Minor differences in color, screen content, packaging or appearance may occur because of display settings, production changes or photographic conditions.

Only the product and accessories listed as included on the applicable product page or order confirmation form part of the purchase.

4. Product Compatibility

Buddy On Screen products require a compatible laptop, operating system and connection configuration.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate laptop information when requesting a compatibility check.

A USB-C connector does not automatically mean that the port supports video output.

Cable count, driver requirements and external power requirements may vary by product and laptop. Customers must review the applicable compatibility information before ordering.

Compatibility with a category of laptops does not guarantee compatibility with every individual model.

5. Ordering and Contract Formation

Products placed in the shopping cart can be reviewed and changed before the order is submitted.

By completing checkout, the customer submits a binding order for the products displayed in the final order summary.

A purchase contract is formed when we accept the order through an order confirmation, payment confirmation or dispatch confirmation, depending on the applicable checkout process and law.

We may reject or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including:

  • Product unavailability

  • Failed or unauthorized payment

  • Suspected fraud

  • An obvious pricing or product-information error

  • An unsupported delivery destination

  • Inability to confirm information necessary to fulfill the order

If payment has already been collected for a rejected order, it will be refunded.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency selected or determined by the store.

Applicable taxes and delivery charges are displayed during checkout where required.

Payment is due when the order is submitted unless the selected payment provider offers different terms.

Payment processing may be performed by Shopify or another third-party payment provider. Additional provider terms may apply to the selected payment method.

7. Shipping and Delivery

Available delivery locations, estimated delivery times and shipping conditions are described in our Shipping Policy and during checkout.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

8. Order Changes and Cancellations

Customers should contact us immediately if they wish to change or cancel an order.

We will attempt to assist, but changes cannot be guaranteed after processing has started.

Once an order has shipped, the customer may need to receive and return it under the Return and Refund Policy.

9. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Our voluntary 30-day return policy is described in the Return and Refund Policy.

Consumers may additionally have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights. These rights are not restricted by our voluntary policy or these Terms.

EU consumers can find further information in our Right of Withdrawal Policy.

10. Defective Products and Statutory Rights

Consumers retain all mandatory legal rights concerning defective, damaged or incorrectly described goods.

Where applicable, the customer may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation or refund.

Customers should provide the order number and reasonable evidence of the reported problem. Failure to report visible damage immediately does not remove mandatory statutory rights.

11. Commercial Warranty

Any commercial warranty offered by Buddy On Screen exists in addition to statutory consumer rights.

The applicable warranty period and conditions are displayed on the relevant product page, order confirmation or Warranty page.

Commercial warranty coverage does not replace or reduce legal rights relating to defective goods.

12. Accounts and Customer Information

Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for providing accurate, current and complete information.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, prevent fraud or secure the store.

13. Acceptable Use

The website must not be used:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • To introduce viruses or malicious code

  • To interfere with website security or operation

  • To collect personal information without authorization

  • To impersonate Buddy On Screen or another person

  • To infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights

  • To submit false reviews or misleading information

  • To resell or misuse website content without permission

14. Intellectual Property

The website’s branding, text, graphics, product presentation, videos, photographs and other original content are owned by or licensed to Buddy On Screen.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

15. Reviews and User Content

Customers may submit reviews, photographs or other content where this functionality is available.

Submitted content must be truthful, lawful and must not violate third-party rights.

By submitting content for publication, the customer grants us a non-exclusive right to display and use that content for operating and promoting the store, subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law.

We may remove unlawful, abusive, irrelevant, fraudulent or rights-infringing content. We do not remove legitimate criticism merely because it is negative.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

The store may use or link to third-party services such as payment providers, carriers, review platforms and social networks.

Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by law.

17. Errors and Availability

We may correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, pricing errors or availability information.

Where an obvious error affects an order, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate option, which may include correction or cancellation and refund.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

We remain fully liable for:

  • Intentional misconduct

  • Gross negligence

  • Injury to life, body or health caused by negligence

  • Fraudulent concealment

  • Liability under mandatory product-liability law

  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded

For slightly negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited, where legally permitted, to damage that was reasonably foreseeable when the contract was concluded.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

19. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government action, carrier disruption, customs delays, labor disputes, infrastructure failure or major technical outages.

This does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded.

20. Governing Law

German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

For consumers, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections granted by the law of the country in which the consumer normally resides.

21. Consumer Dispute Resolution

We are neither willing nor legally obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

This statement does not prevent customers from contacting us directly or exercising their legal rights.

22. Contract Language and Storage

The contract language for orders placed through buddyonscreen.shop is English.

Order information and applicable contractual documents are provided electronically. Customers should save their order confirmation and the policies applicable at the time of purchase.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, business practices or legal obligations change.

The version applicable to an order is the version published when that order was placed unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

25. Contact
